About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Advancement at its Cancer Institute. This senior leadership role is pivotal in driving philanthropic investment within a nationally recognized cancer center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction to the research-centered fundraising enterprise, leading a team dedicated to the Institute, and revitalizing a region-wide grateful patient fundraising program. The role demands a strategic, collaborative, and poised individual with a proven record in major and principal gift fundraising, particularly within an academic medical center or complex health system. The Executive Director will work closely with the Institute's Director and the University's advancement leadership team to strengthen advisory board engagement, generate philanthropic commitments, and position volunteer leaders as strategic partners.
The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to the mission of the Cancer Institute, the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into compelling donor narratives, and a passion for continuous learning. This is a particularly exciting time for the Institute, with a significant focus on developmental therapeutics, early-phase clinical trials, and precision oncology.
