Summary As a Sales Executive, Japan, you will drive business development and close new opportunities in the defence and intelligence (D&I) sectors in Japan. Your role will focus on establishing and strengthening HE360's engagement with all Japanese related organizations, ensuring our solutions meet their strategic and operational needs.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute HE360's strategy for engaging with Japanese national security related organizations such as Japanese Ministry of Defense, Japanese Coast Guard, Cabinet Satellite Intelligence Centre, National Police Agency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs etc.
Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key stakeholders, including:
Japan Ministry of Defense and intelligence agencies.
Japanese industries (e.g., NEC, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Hitachi Ltd.)
Japanese distribution partners (e.g., Sumitomo Corporation, Sumisho Aero-Systems Corporation)
Identify and manage RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, ensuring HE360's successful participation – either directly or through European partners.
Lead targeted sales campaigns, working closely with HE360's leadership, product, and technical teams.
Oversee ongoing projects, ensuring seamless collaboration with Japanese government partners.
Manage risk, budget tracking, and project planning throughout bid and delivery phases.
Drive HE360's participation in Japanese national security related studies, military exercises, and standardization efforts.
Identify key industry events HE360 should attend, set objectives, and track outcomes.
Develop an engagement plan for senior decision‑makers and political stakeholders, coordinating interactions with HE360's leadership team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Aerospace, Electrical, Telecommunications Engineering, Remote Sensing, Signal Processing, Data Science, or related disciplines) or equivalent experience.
Proven experience closing multi‑million‑dollar, multi‑year contracts with Japanese Ministry of Defense, intelligence agencies etc.
Expertise in long sales cycles and high‑value defence deals, requiring constant end‑user engagement.
Strong understanding of Japanese organizations, and Japanese Ministry of Defense, with prior experience engaging these entities.
Deep domain knowledge in aerospace, defence, military, or intelligence sectors.
Technical understanding of ELINT, COMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT, and remote sensing technologies.
Ability to discuss technology and the TCPED process in depth, effectively communicating HE360's value proposition.
Familiar with ITAR and EAR regulations.
Japanese citizen with a valid Japanese passport.
Willingness and ability to travel to engage with customers, partners, and Japanese stakeholders.
Fluent in Japanese and English.
Remuneration 0Base Salary Range: $185,000 - $230,000 USD annually plus commissions. HawkEye 360 offers a competitive base salary plus annual performance bonus and benefits.
