Our homebuilding client in the Salt Lake Area has an awesome opportunity to join their team as Director of Land Development.
- Consult with land acquisition managers to determine the feasibility of obtaining the permits and approvals and installing the infrastructure to develop new homes
- Provide periodic schedules and budgets related to obtaining the permits and approvals and developing the land for new acquisition opportunities
- Resolve all title and environmental issues which would preclude the division from purchasing property for the purpose of building and selling new homes
- Ensure the land development plans are designed in the most efficient and cost-effective way which will achieve the government, utility and community requirements and division objectives
- Define the scopes of work for each land development project
- Solicit and evaluate bids and award the contracts consistent with the scopes of work for each land development project
- Ensure each land development project stays on schedule and within budget
- Communicate clearly, accurately, and timely regarding the status of schedules, budgets and potential issues related to the entitlement, forward planning, and land development of each project
- On-time delivery of home sites including, but not limited to wet and dry utilities, roads, landscaping, amenities, and public service infrastructure
- Provide input on selection of subdivision details for amenities and all common areas
