Job Summary
The Director will focus onHousing Focusedservices to individuals who haveexperiencedhomelessness and aims to include Trauma-Informed Care and best practices at every program level. The Director will work tirelessly to help streamline programs that aim to end homelessness as quickly as possible for every family we serve. The Director will value and create opportunities for input from clients, staff, and partners. The Director will be a model for ethical, fair, competent, and professional values, service delivery, and client relations, including supportive and appropriate individual services to clients, client rights, confidentiality and boundaries, respect for personal dignity, worth, and privacy of clients, the self-determination of clients concerning their needs, problems, goals, and interests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all program operations to ensure success of the program in meeting the needsofpersonsexperiencing homelessness.
- Work closely with the position supervisor in a continuous improvement model to ensure ongoing program evaluation and foster a learning environment.
- Collaborate with the other departments in our agency as well as onsite and other community partners to develop and coordinate client services.
- Keep abreast of federal and local changesregardinghomeless services, housingservicesand shelter as well as new and emerging best practices and research. Actively seek data-driven solutions to service challenges.
- Carry out administrative duties including reports, collection of data, development of resources, programevaluationand research.
- Work with agency management and the accounting team tomonitorand manage services budget, processinvoicesandmaintainrecords.
- Participate in, and whereappropriate, provide leadership to various community engagement projects and homeless servicessystem governance activities.
- Maintain effective and cooperative inter-agency relationships, including attending and contributingatcommunity meetings and committees related to services, as applicable.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all community meetings and partnerships related to the theresource center.
- Build and foster relationships with partner agencies; including education, employment, mental health, substance abuse, and medical providers to support client services that can transition into housing stability support asguestsmove out into the community.
- Attend mandatory agencytrainings, including Trauma-Informed Care,HousingFocused, De-escalation, Suicide Prevention, CPR, and more.
- Participate in emergency drillsand environmental safety activities,asrequired.
- Follow all agency protocols for security, safety, and sanitation tomaintaina clean and secure environment for guests and staff.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance as an essential function of this position.

Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities
- Model trauma-informed leadership in all interactions with staff and guests.
- Provideclear, constructive feedbackto staff regularly, fostering growth and accountability.
- Hire, train, mentor, and support team members through hands-on guidance and resource sharing.
- Delegate tasks effectively while ensuringequitabledistribution of workload.
- Resolve conflictspromptly and professionally, using de-escalation techniquesand leading difficult conversations with kindness and directness.
- Uphold agency policiesconsistently and lead by example.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with employees to exchange feedback, actively listen, and address professional development needs.
- Develop and implement performance improvement plans and other correctiveactionswhen needed, with measurable goals, equipping staff with the tools and guidance to achieve success.
- Collaborate cross-departmentallyto align team goals with theorganization’smission.
- Monitor and ensure completion of all mandatorytraining, whilemaintainingaccurateparticipation records.
- Track and report on team performance metrics (attendance, outcomes, etc.),as needed.
- Perform employee evaluations as scheduled, offeringactionablefeedback and tailored support.
- Advocate for staff needswhile balancing operational priorities.
- Direct a diverse staff, including 24/7 support staff and case management.
- Ensure the highest quality of data entry and reporting.
- Lead weeklycollaboration meetingswithstaff and external partnersasrequired.
- Supervise approximately3FTE direct reports, charged with the supervision ofapproximately30FTE staff
- Supervise graduate and undergraduate student interns as available.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience in Social Work or another related field isrequired
- Minimum of two years of experience working with homeless or low-income populations. Knowledge of homeless or severely at-risk populations. Experience in related fields may be substituted.
- Knowledge and experience of administrative duties, including project management, supervision of a diverse staff, reporting and presentation, computer fluency, and organizational skills.

Physical and Equipment Requirements
- Willingness to assist in all areas of shelter operations, including organizing or lifting supplies as needed.
- Ability to sit, stand, andmovefor at least an hour at a time or more.
- Ability to use stairs or steps.
