
Supervises the management of the financial and operational affairs of the school district in such a way as to provide the best possible education services with the financial resources available.

$150,000-$170,000 DOE
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business and/or Education and related financial experience is required for this position.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred, or Chief School Business Official (CSBO) Endorsement, Certification in School Finance and Operations (SFO).
- Strong background in accounting and state financial reporting.
- Experience preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements.
- Experience performing audits for governmental institutions (preference given to experience with Illinois school districts).
- Knowledge of and ability to use school financial accounting software.
- Knowledge of the audit process and ability to work with state and independent auditors.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly motivated, flexible, and self-directed employee.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality while communicating with district employees.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Passage of pre-employment medical examination, including Tuberculosis (TB) test and any other job specific required medical testing.
- Pass a Regional Office of Education Fingerprint based Background Clearance including Federal Bureau of Investigation.
- Alternatives to the above qualifications that the Board finds appropriate and acceptable may be approved.
