Avon Health Center, a 5-star CMS rated, family-owned and operated facility with an excellent reputation in the community, is seeking a caring leader to direct staff development and in-service education. The primary purpose of this position is to direct in-service educational programs in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as directed by the Administrator or DNS, to assure the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
Current, unencumbered RN license in Connecticut. Minimum 1 year nursing supervisor experience in long-term care. Ability to take on-call coverage every 7th weekend (with bonus). Training in rehabilitative/restorative nursing. Supervision and teaching experience. Strong leadership and communication skills. English proficiency. Knowledge of nursing practices and long-term care laws/regulations. Privacy rule knowledge and ability to train staff.
