About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its philanthropic efforts in expanding access to culinary, pastry, and hospitality education for students with financial need. The successful candidate will be a strategic and entrepreneurial leader, responsible for growing the organization's capacity to assist students with a passion for the culinary and pastry arts. This role is pivotal in the Foundation's mission to support scholarships that enable students to complete their education and enter the food and hospitality workforce prepared for fulfilling, fruitful, and long-term careers. The Executive Director will be the chief executive and chief fundraising officer, with a hands-on approach to leadership, and will work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the Foundation's goals are met.

Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include overall leadership, strategy, fundraising performance, financial stewardship, governance support, and external representation. The role demands a leader who can personally lead major gift fundraising and corporate partnership development, while also overseeing a small operational team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in nonprofit management, be adept at building and maintaining relationships with industry leaders, high-net-worth individuals, and corporate donors, and be committed to the Foundation's mission. A strong background in strategic planning, financial management, and a deep understanding of the culinary and hospitality sectors is essential. The Executive Director will also be responsible for the tactical, operational day-to-day execution of priorities, and will have the support of an outside marketing group, payroll and accounting, with plans to build capacity to hire a Development and Operations Coordinator.
