About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Student Engagement and Campus Programs. The successful candidate will be a visionary, strategic, and relationship-driven executive responsible for leading the development and execution of the overall programmatic and engagement strategy for Jewish life at the institution. This role involves supervising a team of 7+ program and professional staff, guiding the strategic direction for program excellence, and serving as the primary face of the organization's student affairs presence. The Managing Director will also be tasked with fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and joy, and ensuring that the digital presence reflects the vibrancy of the on-campus work.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and at least 8 years of experience in Jewish, nonprofit, or educational settings. They should be a strategic thinker, empathetic team leader, and skilled in building teams and creating systems that scale engagement and impact. The role requires a fluent understanding of Jewish culture, learning, and community life, and the ability to work with a broad range of Jewish identities and expressions. The Managing Director will also be responsible for managing program budgets, grant reporting, and evaluation processes, as well as building trusted partnerships with university administration, faculty, and community leaders. The position demands a flexible, curious individual who is energized by campus life and is comfortable with the demands of the role, including evening, weekend, and holiday work.
