Senior Power BI Solutions Developer

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is excited to welcome a skilled Senior Power BI Solutions Developer to our team. This role is based 100% on-site in downtown Washington DC. Key Responsibilities: Engage in planning and design sessions for Power BI reporting solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and fulfillment of stakeholder requirements. Architect, design, and develop scalable, interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI, focusing on UI/UX effectiveness. Implement data strategies and models that support complex analytics while ensuring optimal performance. Create Composite Data Models that integrate diverse data sources for precise transformation and presentation within Power BI. Establish security measures within reports and dashboards to uphold data confidentiality and compliance with VA security policies. Monitor and enhance performance of Power BI solutions, ensuring efficiency and a seamless user experience. Collaborate with business analysts and VA stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective Power BI solutions. Develop test plans and execute detailed testing of Power BI reports, documenting and resolving any issues to maintain high quality. Prepare training materials and assist business analysts in educating end users on the developed software. Actively participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups, ensuring timely delivery of tasks. Solicit feedback from stakeholders to gather insights for continuous improvement of delivered reports. Serve as a technical leader, mentoring junior developers and sharing best practices in software development and data integration. Required Skills and Experience: Master's degree in computer science or a technical discipline (or equivalent additional experience). 15+ years of relevant experience, including 8+ years in developing Power BI dashboards, specifically in data warehousing. Eligibility to obtain and maintain required security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting a U.S. Federal Government agency. Citizenship Requirement:
