Job Opportunity At The Office For University Life And Community Engagement
The Office for University Life and Community Engagement (OULCE) enhances the daily experience of graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, faculty, and staff by promoting connection, belonging, and meaningful engagement across campus. Reporting to the Vice President, University Life and Community Engagement this position is responsible for the following activities: Responsibilities Provide administrative and logistical support for OULCE programs, projects, and initiatives, including day-to-day operational coordination. Coordinate programs, events, and trainings by scheduling activities, reserving space, arranging catering and vendors, preparing materials, and supporting on-site operations. Support program and project implementation through on-site and logistical assistance such as preparing materials, coordinating vendors, tracking participation, and maintaining attendance records. Assist with research, data collection, and basic reporting to support office planning and assessment. Prepare and distribute office communications and maintain documentation and data to support planning, assessment, and reporting for review by the VP for ULCE. Maintain accurate records and prepare summary materials for review by the VP for ULCE. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support outreach, community engagement, and a professional, inclusive work environment aligned with institutional values. Perform other duties as assigned by the VP for ULCE. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree is required. Demonstrated ability to provide administrative and logistical support for programs, projects, or events. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records. Proficiency with standard office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and calendaring systems. Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting programs or initiatives in a higher education or nonprofit environment. Familiarity with event coordination, vendor scheduling, and attendance or data tracking. Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
