Forbes Travel Guide seeks an Evaluation Report Editor to edit evaluation reports consisting of data
obtained by our global team of incognito evaluators who assess hotels, restaurants and spas for
our coveted annual Star Ratings and provide feedback to industry clients on a regular basis. The
Evaluation Report Editor will serve as an expert on Forbes Travel Guide standards and is
responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of these reports.
DEPARTMENT: Evaluation Operations
LOCATION: Remote
TYPE: Independent Contractor
EXPERIENCE: 3+ years
RESPONSIBILITIES • Follow all steps of the editing process to manage the compilation, accuracy and delivery of
assigned client-ready hotel, restaurant, spa, and other hospitality outlet reports in a timely
manner • Review photos and standard scores for accuracy; ensure grammatical clarity in reports • Communicate regularly with evaluators regarding reports • Record and maintain thorough feedback on the evaluator team to increase quality and
efficiency
SKILLS REQUIRED • Organized, efficient, strong attention to detail, proactive, self-motivated, independent
worker • Ability to balance thoroughness with timeliness; deadline-oriented • Excellent verbal and written communicator • Experience with editing and strong grammar skills • Experience or familiarity with luxury travel, hospitality industry and writing/editing on topics
including travel, spa, food or wine preferred • Experience with Forbes Travel Guide standards and client-facing evaluation reports is a
plus
