Customer Service Representatives provide a friendly, quick, and safe atmosphere for customers and employees. They conduct sales transactions, keep the store stocked, and maintain cleanliness.
Responsibilities
Provide customer service by greeting, thanking, making eye contact, and engaging with customers.
Complete fast‑paced, accurate sales transactions on a register, and account for any mistakes such as voids or misprints.
Prepare quality food using equipment (fryers, ovens, slicers, etc.) according to FiveStar guidelines and food safety standards.
Maintain PAR levels in the deli (cold and hot).
Promote FiveStar specials by informing customers and suggesting sells during each transaction.
Clean and merchandise sales areas (deli, sales floor, cooler) to keep products visually appealing.
Clean floors, restrooms, parking lots, and other areas around the store.
Practice safe working habits in accordance with company safety rules.
Comply with all local, state, and federal laws.
Follow all company policies as outlined in the FiveStar employee handbook.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 18 years old.
Ability to multi‑task to meet customer needs.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Team player, honest, hardworking, excellent attendance.
Basic computer skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Daily standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, climbing, walking, lifting up to 55 lb, and working in cold indoor environments 35 °F or less.
Ability to work in varying seasonal weather conditions.
