Life Sciences Technology Transactions Associate - New York
Direct Counsel is representing an Am law firm seeking a mid-level Associate (5-7 years) to join its nationally recognized Technology Transactions team in New York. The team advises leading life sciences companies-including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, digital health, diagnostics, and discovery tools-on licensing, collaboration, and strategic transactions. This role offers exposure to high-profile clients, dynamic deals, and opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment.
Key Qualifications: J.D. and admitted to practice in the local jurisdiction 5-7 years of transactional and licensing experience at a top law firm representing life sciences companies Strong drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills Experience with collaboration, licensing, supply, and other complex commercial agreements, including M&A Scientific or business background (biology, chemistry, engineering, pharmacy) is a plus Proven ability to manage multiple projects, mentor junior attorneys, and provide practical business-focused solutions
Compensation:
$365,000 - $420,000 per year, based on experience; discretionary merit bonuses may apply
