REPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGER

STATUS: FULL-TIME (NON-EXEMPT)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Marketing Specialist will execute business development tasks as assigned by the General Manager. Many of these tasks include Front Desk, Concessions, Admissions, and Operations roles performing a variety of duties meeting the needs of the guests.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Crafting the marketing plan in partnership with the General Manger and Marketing team

Managing and updating company website(s)

Content development for digital or print

Assists with management of the Fan Shop

Assists with traffic building promotions, and stages all major events, contests, promotions

Assists with sponsorship execution

Assists with the booking of group events

Assists in capturing content (photo, video, etc.) for use in creating in-house flyers, invitations, print ads, posters, e-mail marketing, website content

Managing facility presence with industry publications, trade shows, and associations

Performs the job safely and in compliance with company policies, procedures, work and safety rules and the team member manual

Responsible for proper handling of cash, assigned bank, and cash register operations

Performs other duties assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Ideal candidates have education and some experience in business development disciplines such as promotions, advertising, PR, merchandising, graphic design, fundraising and sponsorship sales, website design, email marketing, and campaign management.

Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiating skills

Must be a team player

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift 30 pounds waist high

May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend

Will be required to operate a computer

Facility has intermittent loud noise levels
