The Sun Prairie YMCA is seeking a dynamic
Sports & Programs Director
to lead high-quality youth sports and child development programs that support healthy growth, learning, and community connection.
Qualifications: Experience in
youth sports, child development, recreation, or program management . 4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Familiar with the Madison and greater Dane County market. Have previous supervisory experience, in athletic or sports administration preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills. Well developed time management skills and ability to work independently. Passion for excellent customer service. 5+ years experience preferred. Required to work nights and weekends as programs need. Key Responsibilities
Lead, develop, and oversee youth sports and child development programs, including leagues, camps, enrichment, and before/after school activities. Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise program staff, coaches, and volunteers. Ensure child safety, licensing compliance, and YMCA child protection standards are consistently met. Develop and manage program
budgets , pricing, and participation goals. Maintain strong relationships with
families, schools, and community partners . Monitor program quality, participation, and member satisfaction. Collaborate with branch leadership and support YMCA mission and values. Why Work at the Y -
