Position Summary The Technology Asset Specialist supports the district's technology asset lifecycle by assisting with the acquisition, deployment, tracking, maintenance, and retirement of technology hardware and software. This role performs day-to-day inventory management, device preparation, software/license tracking, and provides responsive customer service to schools and departments. The specialist works closely with the Technology Asset Manager to execute district technology initiatives including device replacement programs, AV installations, and digital learning rollouts ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to district standards and security protocols. This position plays an essential operational role in maintaining a reliable and secure technology environment that supports instructional and administrative needs across the district.
Minimum Requirements
Education: High school diploma required, associate's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
Relevant Certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+), ITIL Foundation Certification (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), Microsoft or Apple Certifications, Project Management Professional (PMP®) preferred.
Work Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technology support, hardware/software installation, or Information Technology operations role. Experience within K-12 environments preferred.
