The City of Madison Parks Division is hiring Golf Course Attendants for the 2026 season. These positions play a key role in ensuring high quality customer service and guest experiences and in providing enjoyable golf experiences for customers and visitors of the Golf Program. These positions are responsible for supporting facilities operation and custodial or manual labor work in maintenance, with a focus on customer care and satisfaction in all tasks performed at the City golf courses. Employees may be responsible for readying the clubhouse and related amenities for operation, including opening and closing, performing all custodial duties, collecting fees, and accurately recording sales into the Point of Sale (POS) system. Duties may also include performing basic landscaping services and building maintenance activities, working under the direct leadership of the Assistant Golf Professionals or a Golf Course Superintendent, and the general supervision of the Golf Clubhouse Operations Supervisor.

Opportunities:
Clubhouse Attendant (must be age 18 or older as of start date of employment)
Range/Cart Attendant (must be age 16 or older as of start date of employment)
Employees may be scheduled to work 0-40 hours per week. No work hours are guaranteed for these positions.

Clubhouse Attendant
Provide front-line customer service inside the golf shop
Check in golfers
Book reservations
Process payments, including handling cash
Answer questions and resolve customer concerns
Support daily operations and perform end-of-day closing procedures
Morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend availability required. Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts are scheduled seven days per week.
Range/Cart Attendant
Support daily outside operations by delivering excellent customer service while managing golf carts and practice facilities
Pick the driving range
Stage and clean golf carts
Maintain clubhouse grounds
Assist with general facility upkeep
Evening and weekend availability is required. Most weekday shifts are afternoon and evening. Weekend shifts are morning, afternoon, and evening.
Perform other related work as required. All applicants will be considered for these positions. Depending on the number of qualified applicants, random selection may be used to determine who will proceed to the interview process.

Ability to meet the transportation needs for this position.
Attendants must be 18 years of age or older to work inside a Clubhouse and may be required to obtain an operator's license (bartender's license).
Selected candidates under 18 years of age will be assigned to outside areas.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 35 pounds.
Ability to reach, squat, twist, and lift.
Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time.
Ability to work on uneven terrain.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and be exposed to pollen, dust, grass clippings, fertilizers, etc.
Ability to operate golf carts.
