Role Description Mobile Associates (MA) work as part of a Retail Team of Experts bringing the T‑Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They thrive in a fast‑paced environment where technology innovations, customer needs, and the Retail experience continuously evolve. They immerse themselves in significant connections with customers, building and deepening relationships. They build expertise in uncovering customer needs and educating, demonstrating, and recommending device and service solutions. This is a learning role where new associates work with their team, proactively building skills and proficiencies, preparing for the next level up as a Mobile Expert. As a Mobile Associate you will be required to successfully complete new employee training.
Job Responsibilities
Build proficiency related to serving and selling to customers, while providing a world‑class customer experience and building loyalty by:
Helping customers pick up right where they left off in their shopping journey.
Exploring individual needs and providing hands‑on demonstrations of the latest technology.
Side‑by‑side selling to find personalized solutions beyond the bare‑bones device and service plan.
Approaching service and sales needs with composure, integrity, and compassion.
Become skilled with and consistently use digital tools in interactions and onboarding to actively demonstrate:
How our coverage stacks up in the customer’s neighborhood, providing lightning‑fast LTE.
Why T‑Mobile plans and services allow customers to live unlimited, feel the love, stay connected, and go further.
Complete training on T‑Mobile in‑store experience, new skills, and processes, knowledge of systems and reference resources.
Make the most of time on shift, consistently seeking information between customers, learning about innovations.
Establish relationships and partner with T‑Mobile employees across channels to:
Collectively own the customer experience and resolve issues, creating a seamless environment.
Successfully identify and handoff small business leads.
Support team initiatives and create an inclusive environment.
Education and Work Experience
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, Retail environment preferred (Required)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Passionate customer advocate with the desire to be yourself when connecting and having fun doing it! (Required)
Competitive drive and proven ability to succeed in a fast‑paced sales environment. (Required)
Willingness to work alongside peers and store leaders, learning and sharing ideas while serving customers and providing resolutions to issues.
Effective at balancing customer needs and performance goals. (Required)
Fluent in English and Spanish. (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
At least 18 years of age

Hourly Base Pay $17.50, plus $5.00 per hour training pay.
On‑Job Training & Incentives Within the first 90 days Mobile Associates receive on‑job training and are eligible for hourly training pay. Once completed, Mobile Associates promote to the Mobile Expert role and become eligible for an annualized incentive target of $18,000 per year. All employees at TMobile are guaranteed to earn $20 per hour inclusive of base pay and incentives, and every employee is eligible for an annual stock grant.
