Position Summary
The Playbook Sports Bar Host is responsible for greeting and seating guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. The Host manages the flow of reservations to ensure an exceptional dining experience. Duties include answering the phone, booking reservations using the Open Table System, and managing take-out orders. A polished appearance, strong communication skills, and a friendly, professional demeanor are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities
Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. Greet all guests promptly, warmly, and professionally upon arrival. Manage reservations, waitlists, and walk-in guests using OpenTable. Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and explaining daily specials if needed. Follow the steps of service as outlined by the department on a consistent basis. Maintain an organized and clean host stand, lobby, and entrance area at all times. Communicate wait times clearly and accurately to guests. Monitor dining room flow and seat guests in a balanced manner for server sections. Answer the telephone promptly and professionally; assist with guest inquiries and requests. Take and manage take-out orders. Work closely with the management team and service staff to ensure smooth and efficient service. Follow all company, departmental, and health and safety policies and procedures. Perform opening, closing, and side duties as assigned by management. Promote and maintain a positive and cooperative team environment. Maintain a polished, professional appearance in compliance with grooming standards.
