Position Overview Cable Dahmer is seeking an experienced Auto Body A/B Technician to join our collision repair team. This role is responsible for performing structural and non-structural body repairs while following OEM repair procedures and safety standards to ensure vehicles are restored to pre-accident condition.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural repairs, including frame repair, sectioning, and panel replacement (A Tech)
Complete non-structural repairs such as body panel repair/replacement, R&I, and minor structural work (B Tech)
Review repair plans and blueprints to determine proper repair methods
Operate frame machines, measuring systems, and shop equipment safely and accurately
Follow OEM repair procedures and manufacturer guidelines
Maintain quality control standards and meet production goals
Communicate effectively with estimators, painters, and shop leadership
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Qualifications
2+ years of auto body repair experience (B Tech)
5+ years of auto body repair experience preferred (A Tech)
Strong knowledge of collision repair techniques and materials
Experience with frame and measuring systems preferred
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
I-CAR certifications preferred or willingness to obtain
