Overview
We are looking for a friendly, positive, service-oriented, highly energetic and self‑motivated In‑Room Dining Server to join our team. Shifts typically begin at 4pm for PM shifts. This position's primary function is to prepare orders, set trays and deliver items to guest rooms in an attentive and efficient manner while adhering to the standards set by Hilton Brand Hotels and providing excellent quality service. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and experience with food and beverage. Compensation for this role includes a base rate plus earned gratuities, which could result in pay in excess of $20/hour.
Responsibilities
Set tables and trays according to the type of food ordered and the brand's service standards
Perform opening and closing duties for in-room dining
Clean/remove trays from guest rooms and corridors
Serve guests their food & beverage in a prompt and courteous manner
Present accurate checks to guests and complete the payment process
Maintain knowledge of all food & beverage items and their specifications, including price, ingredients, etc.
Communicate with each guest to ensure satisfaction with the food & beverage provided
Maintain the cleanliness of work areas and ensure adequate stock of supplies
Ensure adequate and clear communication with the Culinary team
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor on the property
Qualifications
Previous relevant experience preferred
Excellent communication skills
Ability to gauge customers' preferences
High school diploma; relevant training is a plus
