Responsibilities
Interact with customers, set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area, prepare and serve food items, restock food areas, clean and sanitize equipment, and receive payment for food and beverages using a computerized register.
Provide outstanding customer service and effectively communicate with patrons and co-workers. Demonstrate the ability to establish effective working relationships and maintain quality control standards.
Operate equipment such as beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, refrigerators and freezers.
Follow established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders. Be accountable for credit card and cash transactions. Serve catered parties. Follow standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery and general service techniques.
Answer questions regarding menu items and offer suggestions where appropriate. Practice tray service for all food and beverage service. Work independently when necessary. Understand food safety and sanitation processes. Be prepared to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Minimum of 18 years of age.
Two years serving experience and/or training preferred.
Depending upon location of hire, Serv Safe may be required to obtain within a designated time frame.
