We are seeking a driven, community-minded individual to join our team as an independent Insurance Agent. This role is ideal for a proactive leader passionate about making a tangible local impact. You’ll sell insurance products and spearhead initiatives that address community needs, positioning our agency as a trusted ally.
Responsibilities
Willingness to create lasting relationships within your local community
Manage day-to-day operations, including marketing, sales, and customer service
Utilize social media and local media to promote community efforts and client success stories
Prospect new clients through networking, referrals, and community outreach
Stay informed about industry developments and ensure compliance with regulations
Build relationships with local organizations (schools, farm organizations, chambers of commerce) to identify partnership opportunities
Qualifications
Insurance and sales experience a plus
5+ years in sales, customer service, or business development; insurance experience a plus
Strong ability to communicate and problem-solve
Active insurance license (or willingness to obtain)
Passionate about giving back to the community and making a positive impact
Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and drive
Compensation $66,000 at plan commission
About Western Community Insurance - Farm Bureau Mutual On May 1, 1947, a group of Idaho farmers and ranchers founded an insurance company. This company was grounded in the belief that neighbors should help neighbors. Because of this, we have built a customer-centered culture that has helped us develop stronger through decades of change.
In our humble beginnings, we offered only auto insurance from our Pocatello office. Subsequent generations of employees and agents, guided by the founders’ beliefs, built the company into what it is today: the largest writer of farm and ranch insurance in Idaho and the largest insurance company wholly based in Idaho.
