HR Regional Director – US Location: United States (preferably near Portage – Indiana)

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Regional Director to lead our human resources operations across the United States. This role is pivotal in serving as the strategic and operational HR leader in the country, acting as a key partner to the Managing Director and the US Country Leadership Team. The HR Regional Director will ensure alignment between global HR initiatives and local execution while managing daily HR operations, labor relations, and compliance with both Group policies and U.S. labor regulations.

Key Responsibilities Strategic HR Leadership

Lead the delivery of country-level HR priorities aligned with global initiatives, KPIs, and timelines.

Provide input into organizational design and talent planning processes, ensuring local needs are communicated upstream.

Partner with the Managing Director to support business transformations, restructurings, and site-level HR initiatives.

Operational HR Management

Oversee all day-to-day HR operations across US sites, including staffing, compensation & benefits, HR labor relations, and compliance.

Guarantee accurate, timely HR reporting and analytics as per global standards.

Ensure adherence to standardized HR processes, tools, and systems defined by Group HR (e.g., recruitment tools, global survey platforms, learning systems).

Coordinate the recruitment process for leadership roles reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Serve as the main HR liaison in cross-functional projects involving new system rollouts, tool implementations, and equipment or team transfers.

Labor Relations & Compliance

Lead labor relations and collective bargaining processes, in collaboration with legal and Group HR as needed.

Represent the company in union consultations and ensure consistent communication and adherence to employment legislation.

Monitor employment law developments and implement necessary updates in HR practices and policies.

Talent & Organizational Development

Facilitate country-level succession planning and organizational reviews in partnership with the country leadership team.

Promote consistent onboarding practices and drive employer branding initiatives in alignment with global HR communication strategy.

Drive employee engagement initiatives by ensuring deployment of Group-led surveys and acting on the insights locally.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Organizational Psychology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred (e.g., Master’s in HR Management, MBA with HR emphasis).

HR certifications strongly preferred (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent recognized U.S. certification).

Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.

Proven experience managing multi-site operations, preferably in manufacturing environments.

Proven experience in talent-related areas such as building talent/leadership pipelines, succession planning, employee development, and organizational culture.

Preferred experience in an international company.
