Responsibilities
Lead daily tactical import entry process and import initiatives across Interiors Client Sites, ensuring full Customs compliance and managing US Customs inquiries and data requests.
Drive collection of import data and analysis for monthly Dashboard metrics.
Oversee refund tracking and updating various tools to optimize duty recovery.
Assist Import team and Import Manager on projects, tactical activities, strategic activities, Duty Mitigation and other import activities, as needed.
Remain up to date on current Global Trade Related Geopolitical events, such as Section Tariffs, and Anti-dumping & Countervailing Duties.
Requirements:
In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
Ability to learn and utilize many different application tools (SAP/GTS, SharePoint, Office 365, Smartsheet, Access, Web based tools, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed Customs Broker
A desire to learn a new skill set in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with their team and the business.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Ability to step back and look at the big picture of what is needed for the enterprise and investigate other opportunities through innovation to accomplish goals.
Experience with Client current trade compliance related processes (classifications, authorizations, logging, compliant transfer modes, record keeping, etc.) and Client specific GT related systems (GTS, OCR, MKDenial, xClass, Texport) is a plus.
Education
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience.
