Life Services Alternatives, Inc. (LSA) is a California non-profit Corporation serving persons with developmental disabilities. Our Mission is: “to provide exceptional community living and programs for adults with developmental disabilities.” LSA currently serves homes under license from the Department of Social Services. LSA operates in Santa Clara County, CA.
POSITION: Marketing and Outreach Coordinator
WORKING HOURS: Monday – Friday, as scheduled with your manager, 40 hours a week, some weekend work
REPORTS TO: VP of Marketing & Development
FLSA & STATUS: Non-exempt, hourly
PAY SCALE: $30–$40/per hour DOE
The Marketing & Outreach Coordinator supports LSA’s marketing, communications, and community engagement efforts. This role helps increase LSA’s visibility, supports outreach initiatives, and assists with marketing content, events, and partnerships.
Support marketing and outreach strategies to increase awareness and engagement.
Create and distribute marketing content (email, social media, website, print).
Maintain contact records and outreach materials in HubSpot and related systems.
Research and coordinate community outreach opportunities and events.
Support logistics for events, outreach activities, and community partnerships.
Track engagement metrics and prepare basic reports and dashboards.
Assist with content calendars, campaign timelines, and marketing project coordination.
Assist with website updates and basic content management.
Support media and public relations efforts, including drafting press materials and coordinating outreach.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather stories, photos, and updates for marketing use.
Provide administrative support, including meeting notes and event coordination.
Use tools such as HubSpot, Canva, Zoom, and Google Suite.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or outreach preferred.
Strong written communication and organizational skills.
Experience with CRM systems and digital marketing tools preferred.
Time management and follow-up skills with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize a workload and handle several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
Ability to prioritize attention to detail and communicate cross-functionally across teams and departments
The ability to observe, ask questions, listen actively, and give and accept feedback effectively
Excellent written and communication skills
A high energy level, adaptability, patience, and ability to work in a team environment
Proficient in social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn
Competence in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides & Calendar
Current authorization to work in the U.S. with legal documentation
Additional Requirements
This position is a mandated reporter and is required to observe all consumers rights, report unusual occurrences as specified in Title 22, California Code of Regulations.
May hold a valid California driver’s license, auto insurance, and a good driving record, and may require and undergo fingerprint and criminal record check, and provide results of health screening and TB testing.
Typical Working Conditions: Primary work location is indoors, outdoors for leisure activities.
Risk/Safety Conditions, Essential Physical Activities to include: walking, sitting, hearing, seeing up close, talking, standing, finger movement, repetitive motions. Maintains sufficient strength, agility, endurance and sensory ability to perform the duties contained in this job description. May be required to lift up to 10 lbs. Will ask for assistance when needed.
