Position Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving room revenue through proactive sales strategies, developing new business opportunities, and growing existing accounts. This role focuses on corporate, group, and SMERF (Social, Military, Educational, Religious, and Fraternal) market segments while collaborating closely with revenue management and hotel operations teams. Additional Property Locations- 1. New York 2. Ohio Key Responsibilities

Revenue Generation & Business Development Drive room revenue through proactive sales efforts and strategic account management Identify, prospect, and secure new B2B and local corporate accounts Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target segments Actively grow existing accounts to maximize repeat business Conduct outside sales calls, cold calls, and networking activities Market Segment Management

Manage corporate, group, and SMERF segments Respond to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) in a timely and strategic manner Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements Maintain competitive rate positioning in coordination with revenue management Client Engagement

Conduct hotel site inspections and client presentations Attend local networking events, trade shows, and chamber meetings Host client meetings and maintain regular follow-ups Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales cycle Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Revenue Management to align pricing strategies Coordinate with Front Desk and Operations to ensure smooth group arrivals Provide sales forecasts and performance reports to management Maintain accurate account records in CRM systems Qualifications & Experience

Required 3–6 years of hotel sales experience Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets Experience handling corporate and group accounts Strong negotiation and closing skills Knowledge of local market dynamics CRM and PMS experience. Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to travel locally for client meetings Preferred Experience with economy or upper-economy hotel brands Existing network within the local corporate or SMERF market Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field Relationship-building and account management Strategic thinking and revenue optimization Strong organizational and time management skills Self-motivated and target-oriented mindset Combination of on-property presence and outside sales activities Fast-paced hospitality environment Some evening or weekend networking events may be required
