Come work with us! Ideal candidates live in Rhode Island and the surrounding areas. This position is for the MKTG (Non-Premise) Team in Rhode Island, focusing on special and elevated events only. Schedules are flexible. Pay Rate starting at $35 per hour. Candidates must be 21 years and older. POSITION OVERVIEW: MKTG Brand Educators are brand enthusiasts that educate consumers on high-profile brands during Non-Premise and experiential special events. They must deliver safe and unique experiences, helping consumers make informed brand decisions. They are expected to interact and actively engage consumers at the point of purchase and experience, with the end goal of reinforcing and/or increasing brand awareness. The Brand Educator embodies the brand they represent and humanizes it, building consumer trust through product knowledge and education. Brand Educators (BEs) have a wide range of responsibilities related to engaging consumers to recognize, prefer, and purchase client brands. MKTG hires personable, friendly, and professional Brand Educators. In addition to participating in promotional events when selected, BEs are expected to complete regular online training regarding client brands. BEs must immerse themselves to obtain extensive knowledge, including Category, Product Distillation/Production, and Brand, and must pass exams testing this knowledge. BEs must successfully showcase their knowledge and ability to engage by delivering a final two to three-minute presentation to represent brands at events. This position is an Occasional Employment Position. Being hired as a Brand Educator does not guarantee assignment to a particular quantity of assignments. Brand Educators must sign off on all required forms and adhere to all MKTG Policies & Procedures. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow all Covid-19 related Safety Standards. Actively engage and educate consumers at the point of experience, purchase, and consumption. Humanize the brands and build consumer trust through education. Lead consumers through a sampling journey of featured products (where legal and within local legal limitations and as per policy). Regularly complete digital training for market brand and programs as directed. Adapt to tech platforms to receive and input information necessary to represent Diageo brands. Arrive at events on time, in appropriate attire as specified. Distribute premiums to consumers. Follow Responsible Server Guidelines and report Guideline violations. Pay for bar spend or product via company-issued debit card. Pick up or accept delivery of promotional materials from the Event Team. Ensure proper care and return of company property (i.e., uniforms, event materials). Complete post-event recap (ERF) in MKTG reporting website. Take digital event photos and contribute to the market's social media account. Understand how Diageo brand differs from competitors and report on competitive activity in the market. Maintain appropriate appearance for consumer engagement. Follow company policy and procedures. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Outgoing brand knowledge and personification of the brand – BEs must complete training to understand what the brand/program represents, stands for, and how it differs from other brands. BEs must translate brand information to consumers in a relatable manner and maintain a pleasant disposition under stress. Engaging – BEs must be outgoing, personable, and courteous with consumers, approaching them with a friendly and helpful attitude to build trust in the brand. Reliable – BEs must arrive at events ready to start on time and work until the event ends. BEs must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and carry heavy trays, boxes, and objects. REQUIRED: Must be 21 years of age. Previous promotional/marketing experience. Valid to work as an employee in the US. Valid US driver's license. Valid safe server permit. Must have your own method of transportation.
