Job Summary:

The CEM Defense Materials (CDM) business, a supplier of aerospace composite to various key US Military Programs, is seeking a

Customer Service Account Manager

to serves as the primary point of contact between customers, commercial teams, and supply chain operations. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, processing orders accurately and efficiently, and providing support throughout the full order lifecycle. The position focuses on understanding customer requirements, resolving issues, and ensuring consistent, reliable service delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact between our manufacturing plants and customers, ensuring clear and timely communication.

Accurately manage customer orders from entry to invoice, maintaining up-to-date master data and ensuring compliance with our policies.

Collaborate with Supply Chain and Product Managers to address special customer requests and drive effective solutions.

Monitor and report on customer KPIs, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

Support complaint management processes, including credits, debits, and rebates.

Engage in cross-functional discussions to optimize processes and enhance customer outcomes.

Administer all orders in our ERP system, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with export regulations.

Manage customer portals, ensuring timely responses and documentation for audits and inspections.

Work closely with Pricing and Data Management teams to ensure accurate pricing and contract adherence.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of business processes, compliance obligations, and export requirements.

Education and Experience

Required

:

? High school diploma required; a degree in business, communications, or a related field is strongly preferred.

? At least 5 years of experience as a customer service representative in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

? Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office; experience with SAP is a plus.

? Demonstrated customer service expertise, ideally within manufacturing or industrial sectors; aerospace/defense industry experience is advantageous.

? Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.

? Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

? Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

? Familiarity with export compliance, contract administration, and industry quality standards is desirable.

? Willingness to learn technical product information and apply it to customer solutions.

? Multilingual skills are highly valued.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the US by either holding US Citizenship, a US Green card holder, or has obtained a license to work in an ITAR environment through the affiliated government agencies. Position may require the handling of ITAR controlled information, customer proprietary information, and confidential documents. Discretion is required.

CDM positions may require the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government personnel security clearance. U.S. citizenship will be required for security clearance. Candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Position may require travel up to 5%Preferred location is to home office as possible

You will get:

Competitive salary and benefits package. The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $88,480 to $110,600 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
