As the Senior Content Strategist and Producer, you will be responsible for shaping and producing high impact and multiformat content, including articles, guides, social copy, webinars, research reports, on-demand education, email, event content, and more, that positions the National Restaurant Association as a thought leader and indispensable partner to the restaurant and foodservice industry.

Equal parts strategic thinker and creative storyteller, the ideal candidate brings sharp editorial instincts and the ability to connect content to business goals, audience needs, and enterprise-wide initiatives. Position requires a minimum of 5-7 years of experience, preferably working across B2B, association, or mission-driven sectors. You will thrive in this role if you are a highly collaborative self-starter with strong project management skills, and genuine interest in framing and amplifying the stories around the Association's products, programs, research, training, and advocacy efforts.

This role must operate from our DC office, following our hybrid work structure with a required three days onsite, Monday - Wednesday and flexibility to work remote Thursday and Friday.

Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Planning

Develop content strategies aligned to enterprise programs, campaigns, and stakeholder priorities. Apply audience segmentation and behavioral insights to inform content tone, format, and message relevance. Map content to all phases of the engagement journey and across various industry segments. Content Creation & Production

Manage content calendars and production timelines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality assets from internal and external contributors. Write, edit, and produce compelling content in multiple formats including: Long- and short-form editorial (articles, blogs, white papers)

Video scripts, speaker support, and event content

Webinar and on-demand educational content

Social, email, and campaign messaging

Collaborate with internal teams (creative, digital, business and program leads) to deliver cohesive, channel-optimized content. Cross-Organizational Storytelling

Develop narratives that reflect how the Association's work in products, training, research, advocacy, and events come together to serve the restaurant industry. Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and stakeholders to extract insights, success stories, and content opportunities. Contribute to the go-to-market strategies for all published content. Performance Optimization & Insights

Track content performance metrics and use insights to refine strategies. Partner with analytics and digital teams to implement A/B testing, SEO optimization, and audience targeting. Maintain a feedback loop to continuously evolve content relevance and effectiveness. Manage standard content governance efforts. Requirements

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in content strategy, editorial development, and multiformat content creation. Experience working across B2B, association, or mission-driven sectors preferred. Understanding of digital best practices, SEO, and integrated campaign planning. Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into compelling narratives. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically. Skilled in working cross-functionally and managing multiple priorities. Familiarity with the restaurant industry a plus. Highly effective organizational, time-management, priority-setting and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills; ability to collaborate, influence and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to thrive within fast-paced and fluid environment. Experience with content performance tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Marketo, SEMrush) Ability to travel quarterly or as needed.
