Director of Occupational Therapy
King City, CA
Base Salary Range - $120,000 - $158,000 per year plus benefits
The Occupational Therapy Director is responsible for the clinical oversight of the Occupational Therapy Department staff. Director oversees and coordinates the clinical education and competency process for the Occupational Therapy staff, including direct supervision of certified Occupational Therapy assistants (COTAs) and Rehabilitation Technicians. The Director ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and professional standards. The role includes oversight of Occupational Therapy policy and procedure manual addressing scope of care, evaluation/treatment standards, discharge planning and documentation. Director evaluates and treats patients 80% of the time and assists with program development and other administrative tasks, as assigned, the remaining 20% of the time. Employee will function in accordance with their State Practice Act.
QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate of a school of Occupational Therapy, approved by the respective American Occupational Therapy Associations - Required Currently licensed in the State of California by the Board of Medical Quality Assurance - Required Possess all additional qualifications as recommended by the professions’ CA Therapy Board and the Rehabilitation Services Department – Required Member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) – Preferred
