Executive & Personal Assistant To Political Consultant
Manhattan
A Democratic political consultant managing multiple congressional campaigns is looking for one sharp, discreet, and highly organized person to serve as a combined professional and personal assistant based in Manhattan. This is not a campaign job with campaign hours. It's a real, sustainable position supporting one person
but you need to understand the campaign world to do it well. What You'd Be Doing: On the professional side: managing scheduling across multiple campaign clients and time zones, handling sensitive correspondence, organizing research and strategy documents, coordinating with campaign staff and vendors (mail houses, print shops, data consultants), tracking deadlines around filing dates and election cycles, and helping with document prep. On the personal side: managing appointments, running errands in Manhattan, coordinating food delivery and household logistics, handling personal scheduling, and generally keeping life running smoothly so the work can stay focused. Who You Are: You've worked on at least one Democratic campaign or in progressive politics
field, finance, ops, comms, whatever. You know what VoteBuilder is. You know what "knock universe" means. You don't need campaign mechanics explained to you. You are extremely discreet. You'll have access to opposition research, strategy memos, and sensitive client information. Loose lips are a dealbreaker. You are organized, proactive, and don't need to be micromanaged. If you see something that needs doing, you do it. You are based in Manhattan or can easily get there daily. You're comfortable toggling between booking a restaurant reservation and formatting a voter targeting spreadsheet in the same afternoon. Women are strongly encouraged to apply. Details: Full-time preferred, open to discussing part-time for the right person. Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Flexible on exact hours
campaign cycles mean some days are heavier than others. To apply: Send a resume and a brief note about your political experience and why this role appeals to you. No form cover letters, please
if you've worked in politics, you know how to write a real email. Email - jenn@ptgrstrat.com
