Order Entry Associate

In this exciting role, you will serve as a key point of contact for customers, supporting both customer service and inside sales activities. You will play an essential role in ensuring a smooth order-to-delivery process by providing timely information, accurate documentation, and exceptional customer support. Responsibilities Respond to customer inquiries via telephone and email, providing accurate and timely information regarding products, pricing, availability, and delivery schedules. Input, process, and maintain customer order information including purchase orders, sales orders, quotes, invoices, service orders, and work orders within internal systems. Generate and download reports as needed to support sales, service, and operational activities. Perform system inquiries related to sales order status, shipping updates, and delivery timelines, ensuring customers and internal teams receive up-to-date information. Provide basic instruction and guidance to other client staff regarding the dissemination of order status and shipping information. Generate appropriate sales order documentation and shipping paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Identify and correct billing discrepancies, and work directly with customers to resolve incorrect terms and conditions in a professional and timely manner. Collaborate closely with internal teams such as sales, logistics, and operations to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient order fulfillment. Essential Skills Customer service Order entry Customer service oriented Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, including Excel and Word Customer support 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing organization doing customer-facing tasks (customer service, order entry, inside sales, etc.) Basic math skills Good PC skills with the ability to navigate computer systems autonomously Strong Excel and Word skills Good interpersonal and organizational skills Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with SAP Sales and inside sales experience Degree not required, but would be nice to have Work Environment This is an in-office role. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.38 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
