
Personal Trainer
The Personal Trainer is a professional qualified in physical activity, who prescribes exercises and supplements, motivates and sets individualized goals, taking into account the physical conditions and objectives of each of the clients of the Club. They are responsible for ensuring that every person who uses the facilities uses the equipment and performs the exercises correctly. The Personal Trainer assists and collaborates with the Fitness Manager to ensure the achievement of the sales goals set by the company in personal and group training programs (SGT). Education/Experience: Associate's Degree and/or Bachelor's Degree would be preferred. Experience of more than one (1) year as a Personal Trainer. Strong experience in Sales of Services and Products. Skills/Abilities: Great positive attitude, willingness to learn and passion for Fitness. Administrative skills. Oriented to customer service and possesses exceptional communication skills. Oriented to work in team and focused on achieving goals. Social skills, people skills, and interest in direct client interaction. Proactive to execute, with the ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. The physical effort required for daily tasks includes lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing and walking. Basic knowledge of computers and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Dominance of the use of DataTraK/ABC, preferable. Good written and verbal communication in Spanish and English. Availability to provide services at any time and day. Licenses/Certifications: Current license from the Department of Recreation and Sports (DRD). The following documentation must be current and in compliance with the Law of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico: Law 300, CPR Certificate, Insurance (Malpractice Insurance), and Health Certificate. Responsibilities: Design the training program for members based on levels and/or needs based on the results of the evaluation. Promote an environment of camaraderie, positivity, fun, respect, and communication according to the company's values. Stay trained and fully aware of the company's norms, policies, and procedures, and that all certifications required by Law for the position are current and in compliance. As well as keeping current certifications of the SGT offered within the Crunch U platform. Maintain the company's customer service standards. Keep up to date with the calendar of all personal training sessions, other appointments, and administrative time using the company's systems (ABC Datatrack). Ensure that members and visitors follow the Club Rules at all times. Monitor the correct performance of exercises and the use of the Fitness Club equipment and, if necessary, guide the member and/or visitor. Collaborate and participate in community activities and special events. Conduct orientations and evaluations for members. Identify ways to innovate, improve, and be more efficient in the sale of personal training, customer service, and performance as a personal trainer. Promote the purchase of nutritional supplements represented by the company. Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety laws. Integration with members and visitors; get to know each person who visits the facilities. Meet/exceed minimum monthly sales quota. Exclusive training for the Crunch franchise.
