The Florida Department of Health in Seminole County is looking for self-motivated, hardworking individuals for a Property Specialist position located in Sanford, FL. 32773. This is a full-time, in-office position. Your specific responsibilities include: Supporting and serving as a back-up to the Building Operations Specialist. Requesting, coordinating building maintenance, and cleaning of three properties. Assisting in the ordering, receiving, tracking inventory, and issuing and maintaining material, equipment, and supply inventories. Performing housekeeping and custodial assignments in all sites for the CHD. Coordinating fleet maintenance for 30 county vehicles and three towable storage trailers. Receiving, recording, unpacking, stocking, and issuing a variety of stored items. Performing facilities maintenance general repairs and modifications. Maintaining all furnishings and equipment in Health Department facilities. Providing general labor assistance in support of a wide array of Health Department activities. Operating various vehicles owned by the Health Department. Assisting in all housekeeping chores such as cleaning restrooms, removing trash, mopping, vacuuming, restocking paper goods, and cleaning break rooms. Opening the 400 West Airport Boulevard facility no later than 07:00 am, Monday thru Friday. Serving as secondary responder for all non-business hour facility requirements, sounding facility alarms, or alerts from monitoring security company, facility alarms for emergencies, renovations, and maintenance performed after hours or on the weekends. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include: Ability to use a desktop computer and appropriate state software programs. Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems. Using logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches. Minimum qualifications include: Ability to lift 50 pounds to waist level and 25 pounds over shoulders/head; ability to stand for periods of 60-90 minutes.
