Mechanic
Join our team as a Mechanic, where you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of equipment on a US Navy Ship. This position requires physical strength and technical know-how to handle various mechanical tasks effectively. Responsibilities: Perform tear out procedures, including removing valves, pumps, and hydraulics. Handle decking and racks on a US Navy Ship. Utilize knowledge of basic hand tools to complete mechanical tasks efficiently. Lift and handle weights of 50 pounds or more. Essential Skills: Experience in shipyard operations and familiarity with Navy protocols. Proficiency with valves, pumps, and general mechanical tasks. Knowledge in marine repair and hydraulics. Experience with lathe, machining, and using mills & lathes. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Ability to work in various weather conditions including rain, snow, or sunshine.
