Member Service Representative
Hours: 9:00 am
6:00 pm, Monday
Friday, w/some Saturdays. Pay: $18.75/hr. or possibly higher depending on experience. Remote work available. Preference will be made for applicants who live in Utah. Your purpose will be: The person in this position will answer calls from members concerning all aspects of business with the Credit Union, posting all mailed deposits/payments to members' accounts. Also, every employee is responsible for fulfilling our Mission Statement: To improve the financial well-being of our members, while providing world class service. What you'll do: Answers phone calls from members providing accurate information as requested. Offers solutions and members' financial needs Uses name during transactions and member interactions. Meets the metrics of the position. Participates in the Step Up Program. Responsible for posting transactions into members accounts accurately and in a timely manner. Handles duties regarding Bill Payer, Online Banking and Visa Cards. Sorting Credit Union mail. Other duties as assigned. Understands the Bank Secrecy Act and how it is applied. The experience you need to succeed: One month to twelve months of similar or related experience. Must have High School diploma or equivalent G.E.D. Must have excellent communication skills. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required. Proficient with standard office business machinery and software. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook. Competencies: Demonstrated ability to plan and organize your own work activities; analyze and disseminate numerical data; manage work time efficiently; follow procedures and policies; perform basic mathematical calculations; identify and solve problems. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, courtesy, tact, and diplomacy. Work involves much phone contact with others for purposes of providing service and building relationships. Must be able to manage the pressures associated with customer service issues. Able to prioritize numerous tasks with great attention to detail and demonstrate sound and prudent decision making, ethics, and professionalism. Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Works primarily in an office, hybrid, or remote call center environment. (Hybrid or work from home employees must be able to report in office if required.) While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly need to: see, talk, hear, and perform repetitive movements with arms, hands and fingers to handle, feel, grasp and reach. A computer, phone, and standard office equipment are normal tools for this position. Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job include close vision and distance vision. The employee may at times also need to: climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
