
Panel Builder
This position involves working as a Panel Builder or Machine Builder in a custom job shop environment where you will engage in the complete final assembly of both electrical and mechanical systems. You will read and interpret blueprints and schematics, gather appropriate materials, and perform assembly of systems to completion. Responsibilities
Complete final assembly of electrical and mechanical systems. Run wires, bend conduit, terminate wires, install switches, install motors, install PLCs, and mount cabinets. Assemble and wire industrial control boiler panels and control cabinet boiler panels. Provide electrical support for debugging operations on boilers. Interpret schematics, bill of materials, drawings, and manufacturer guidelines. Layout and assemble electrical components to control cabinet panels. Wire all electrical components on machinery. Install servos, switches, VFDs, and PLCs. Cut the board to length on panel box to fit into metal cabinet. Utilize drills, saws, disc cutters, knock outs, and manual or automatic tube benders. Bend conduit up to 1 1/4 inch for wiring protection. Read electrical schematics and blueprints. Build metal cabinets for the panel and knock out correct holes for wiring to attach to mechanical assemblies. Wire panels and servos on the mechanical assembly and test mechanical movement. Assist other departments such as painting, welding, shipping, and assembly if needed. Essential Skills
2-3 years of experience as a Panel Builder, Electrical Panel Builder, Electrical Technician, or similar role. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Experience with terminating wires and performing detailed wiring on equipment. Experience with PLCs, 480v, electrical motors, and similar equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience wiring machinery or equivalent experience. High School Diploma or GED is required. Applicable Electronics or Technical Degree is a plus. Why Work Here?
