
About The Role:
Vokal is seeking a powerful and dynamic Account Director for our fast-growing advisory/agency, based in our Chicago office. We value teamwork, collaboration, and a strategic consultative approach to client-service. Our unique team blends experienced digital athletes from high-growth start-ups with experienced agency/marketing leaders to create a powerful blend of digital transformation capabilities.
As an experienced Account Director, you will develop strong senior client relationships and be committed to creating value and being their most valuable partner through innovative digital work that inspires and creates meaningful value for their organization. You will also be vital in generating growth for Vokal and lead internal teams to deliver assignments that achieve excellent results for the client and the agency.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Strategic Client Lead
: You will not only be the liaison between Vokal and the client, but you will also lead through ideas, consultative thinking, an understanding of our client’s business,
as well as comprehension around the digital ecosystem.
You will know how they make money, their core business priorities, where their barriers to growth lie, and the channels they sell in.
Understanding their objectives, goals and audiences to help push the work our teams produce will be invaluable to how Vokal can help them achieve their goals. Human Connector:
You will successfully foster and maintain trusted relationships across the client teams, including sometimes with the senior-level clients alongside our Leadership Team, Capability Leads and Founder/CEO. You will work closely with all the cross capability internal functions as well to ensure integrated and cohesive execution of deliverables. Concise Communicator and Critical Thinker
: You will have the ability to clearly communicate needs from the client and translate those needs into asks that guide the team on tasks.
You have the knowledge to know where and how to remove risks and problem solve when faced with challenging situations.
Your level of business acumen allows you to scale up or down the conversation to for the intended audiences. Be a Conduit for World Class Work -
You will be responsible for helping drive the quality of work by partnering with the cross functional leads and teams; to deliver results driven solutions, that impact our clients businesses and will lead to incredible case studies for our agency. Identify Operational Efficiencies
: Help drive effective processes and push our teams to flawless executions
for our clients.
We strive for 100% client satisfaction and you need to continue identifying ways for how we evolve our workflows to do that. You will work hand in hand with a PM to ensure the dots are being connected in how and what we deliver and the costs and levels of resources needed to do it. Deliver Actionable Plans:
You have the ability to create and execute strategic and tactical marketing plans based on our client’s priorities, technology systems, data models,
budgets, etc.
Leveraging and aligning to the ways in which Vokal can provide value and impactful results. T
eam Development
: You identify capability and resource gaps within your portfolio and work with resourcing to ensure the business is staffed appropriately to succeed. You lead by example and help mentor and grow junior talent. Commit to P&L performance
: A focus on the financial success of your clients will be critical to Vokal achieving our financial objectives. You understand and respect how Vokal prospers through the growth and success of our clients.
You know how to write and sell in/negotiate scopes. You have experience or working knowledge of how to manage P&L and Margin targets.
Experience: At least 8-10
years of account management experience, agency background helpful but not required 5+ years of interactive marketing experience 5+ years of digital and performance marketing experience Ability to rapidly grasp technical systems and concepts Relentless attention to detail Excellent written and oral communication skills Experience building and/or managing teams Looking for high energy for high growth
