Overview FSRI is looking for candidates who want to make a positive impact on the community. The Youth Support Partner engages and serves at-risk youth identified as potential victims of Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC). The role provides culturally competent services and uses lived experience to develop authentic relationships. The goal is safety, self-sufficiency and empowerment through trauma-informed advocacy and collaboration with families, community resources, providers and treatment team members.
Responsibilities
Engage and serve at-risk youth identified as potential victims of CSEC.
Provide culturally competent services and use lived experience to develop authentic relationships.
Offer youth support, trauma-informed advocacy, and collaboration with families, community resources, providers, and treatment team members.
Support safety, self-sufficiency and empowerment for youth.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.
Lived experience with human trafficking and/or child welfare involvement.
Minimum of 1 year’s experience providing peer support.
Willingness to be certified as a Peer Support Specialist within 2 years of hire.
Effective communication skills (written, conflict resolution and mediation).
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes some evenings and weekends.
Bilingual/ASL skills compensated by an additional 6% above base pay.
Multilingual skills compensated by an additional 8% above base pay.
