What You Will Be Doing: As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for acting as the primary service contact for key accounts. A successful BDR will establish customer relationships and be able to sell the overall value of the Caterpillar brand.
Primary Responsibilities:
Act as the primary service contact for key accounts.
Prepare for and participate in weekly update calls.
Attend regularly scheduled onsite update meetings.
Review Machine POP and customer info for accuracy on a monthly basis and provide data insights.
Assist with fleet reporting, including:
Alerts - condition monitoring, CAT inspections, SOS
SOS interpretation
Run hours
Idle time percentage and idle fuel usage
Operator driven events
Track and address non-reporting VisionLink Machines
Assist with CVA accuracy/inspections reporting on a weekly and monthly basis.
Participate in the monthly outstanding service letter call.
Forecast for future repairs and WEAR parts replacements.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assist quoting as needed.
Assist with customer cookouts and events.
Assist with preparing business review presentations.
Deliver parts as needed.
Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner
Complete additional tasks as assigned by management
Who We Are Looking For: To be successful in this position you should have prior experience in sales with with experience in the heavy equipment industry preferred. This position also requires someone who enjoys talking to people, developing relationships with customers and working in a team environment.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
Four-year college degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience preferred.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Leadership,Vision,Competitiveness andSense of Urgency
Strong accountability and initiative
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Presentation Skills,Organization Skills and Advanced problem solving capabilities
Strong Teamwork Skills
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Six (6) months of Inside Sales experience preferred
