We are currently seeking a dependable and professional parts counter person to handle the purchasing, selling, storage, and issuance of parts within our bustling dealership. Proficiency in ordering parts and maintaining inventory is crucial, but equally important are outstanding interpersonal skills for interactions with customers and internal staff. The ideal candidate can look forward to

Responsibilities

Identify needs and accurately specify required parts

Create and adjust purchase orders

Issue purchase orders to the relevant vendors for parts procurement

Record warranty parts returns

Generate special orders for parts using the dealership computer system and inform the ASM, technician, or client upon receipt

Monitor special order parts tracking

Process and close open invoices

Verify the quality and quantity of merchandise received by comparing invoices against requisitions

Maintain records of external purchases and parts received and issued

Continuously manage warehouse parts inventory

Attend weekly department meetings

Requirements, Education, and Experience

High school diploma or GED

One year of dealership warehouse experience and/or relevant training

Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered

Must be eligible to work in the US and pass pre-employment screening, including MVR, drug test, and criminal background checks

Compensation $1500 monthly base with commission

Physical Demands The physical requirements for this role include standing, walking, using hands for various tasks, reaching, talking, and hearing regularly. Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required. Employees may regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities necessary for this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
