
The Role
We are seeking experienced Insights Sales Manager to join our rapidly expanding CPG insights team to lead sales to CPG suppliers for our major grocery client. This is a fast-paced environment but with great support from our partnering retailer with a unique opportunity to help shape a growing tech business
As an Insights Sales Manager focused on data solutions for CPG suppliers, you will be responsible for identifying and negotiating new client contracts, ensuring our insight capabilities are tailored to their business requirements
You will be responsible for:
Leading pitches with a wide and diverse range of CPG clients
Negotiating a price and service, including renegotiating mature contracts
CPG Contracting (with support from our sales ops and legal team)
Be instrumental to the go to market plan of new and evolving propositions, including creating materials and leading both internal and external facing conferences / webinars
About You
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of knowledge in data insights space and exceptional sales and commercial aptitude
You will use your interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with CPG clients, as well as across key retailer stakeholders
Ability to think on your feet and work through problems methodically
Loves collaborating within a supportive and high performing environment
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of making the complex simple when explaining things to non-technical audiences
Key Responsibilities
Identify and qualify prospective CPG suppliers through research, networking, working with the retailer category teams and outreach efforts
Conduct discovery/demo sessions to understand prospect CPG challenges, objectives, and needs related to sales performance optimisation and data utilisation
Present and demonstrate the features and benefits of our product MoreViu to CPG clients, customising solutions that meet their specific sales goals.
Be a connecting link between our major grocery retail partner and you CPG clients. Helping your CPG clients be aware of the latest challenges and opportunities and using our insights help them solve them, to the benefit of the CPG and the retailer.
Collaborate sales and consulting teams to develop tailored proposals and presentations that address the needs of CPG suppliers
Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to negotiation to closing, ensuring an exceptional and consultative experience for the client throughout the process
Engage with existing clients to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
Stay informed about trends in the insights and CPG industry, competitive landscape, and advancements in data analytics technologies
Provide feedback to product management and marketing teams regarding market needs and client experiences to help shape product development.
Requirements
Bachelors degree standard individual, with business or Marketing degree, preferably with a history of experience in the retail industry either part time or full time
