Salary / Compensation $35/hr – $46/hr

Description Our client, a growing mid‑sized architecture, interior design, and planning firm in Minneapolis, is seeking an Architectural Job Captain or Architect to support the technical documentation and detailing of commercial projects. With an expanding backlog across hospitality, office, retail, and community facilities, the firm is looking for a technically strong contributor who can translate design concepts into precise, construction‑ready documentation. This contract‑to‑hire opportunity offers long‑term potential for a detail‑oriented professional who enjoys collaborating with project leaders while taking ownership of production drawings and code compliance.

Architectural Job Captain Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate construction documents in Revit for commercial projects.

Detail exterior building envelopes and shell components to ensure constructability and code compliance.

Collaborate with principals and project managers to refine technical drawings and resolve design challenges.

Review and apply building codes and regulatory requirements within documentation sets.

Architectural Job Captain Qualifications

Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Architecture.

5+ years of professional experience within an architectural firm.

Strong proficiency in Revit and construction documentation standards.

Experience with commercial project types, including office, retail, hospitality, and community facilities.

Exterior shell detailing experience; licensure or progress toward licensure is a plus.
