Job Summary The Senior Video Editor and 3D Generalist is responsible for delivering high-quality, cinematic video content that elevates storytelling through advanced editorial craft, motion design, and photoreal 3D execution. This role blends live action, motion graphics, sound, and visual effects into polished deliverables that support brand marketing, product, and storytelling initiatives across Comcast Advertising. Operating as a senior individual contributor, this position requires deep expertise in video editing and 3D workflows, independent problem-solving, and the ability to act as a creative and technical resource for colleagues with less experience.
Job Description Core Responsibilities
Create rough cuts and refine content for logical sequencing, pacing, and smooth continuity
Edit and assemble video content using raw footage, dialogue, sound effects, music, graphics, motion design, and 3D assets
Design and execute advanced motion graphics and photoreal 3D sequences that enhance narrative clarity and visual impact
Composite complex shots integrating live action, CG, motion graphics, and VFX with clean, believable results
Collaborate with creative teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, establish timelines, and meet project expectations
Utilize enterprise and industry-standard production systems to deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality finished products
Apply creative judgment to evaluate scenes for dramatic value, entertainment quality, and story continuity
Implement editorial and finishing solutions that consistently meet quality standards with minimal guidance
Incorporate innovative editing, motion, music, SFX, and finishing techniques aligned with business and creative needs
Act as a technical and creative resource for colleagues with less experience
Support process improvements that drive efficiency, consistency, and quality across video workflows
Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, including variable schedules, nights, weekends, and overtime as required

Required Qualifications
Experience:
Seven or more years of professional experience in video editing and post-production with advanced motion design and 3D capabilities
Editorial Expertise:
Mastery of timing, pacing, music integration, and narrative structure for compelling storytelling
Motion & VFX Skills:
High-level proficiency in motion graphics, compositing, and photoreal finishing techniques
3D Workflow Knowledge:
Strong understanding of modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering, compositing, and simulation processes
Creative Execution:
Ability to translate creative objectives into polished, high-quality deliverables with minimal supervision
Independent Problem-Solving:
Proven ability to manage complex assignments and determine methods and procedures autonomously
Collaboration:
Experience working within cross-functional creative and production teams to meet deadlines and quality standards
Portfolio:
Demonstrated work showcasing editorial craft, motion design, 3D integration, and cinematic storytelling
