Responsibilities

Personal Lines Account Managers are responsible working together with clients, producers, and insurance carrier personnel to process and manage all account‑related transactions.

Daily tasks include processing renewals, billings, cancellations and reinstatements in a timely manner.

Personal Lines Account Managers effectively and professionally handle all other client inquiries and requests. Seek assistance from the Senior Personal Lines Account Managers or Personal Lines Lead when appropriate.

Follow Personal Lines policies and procedures when completing work tasks.

Offer suggestions for improvements to policies and procedures as appropriate.

Complete special projects or other tasks as requested.

Qualifications

Hold a Personal Lines insurance license required by your state and have a minimum of two years personal lines insurance account management experience or comparable work experience.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and write assigned clients and prospects.

Demonstrate strong customer focus and an excellent phone manner; display strong written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent math and reading skills to perform calculations.

Possess a sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, multi‑tasking, and follow‑up skills, and the ability to handle difficult situations with customers and solve complex problems without direct supervision.

Have excellent time management skills with a personal accountability mindset as well as technology and computer proficiency, including agency management systems, rating tools, and carrier website navigation. Experience with Applied EPIC is a plus.

Can be partially remote, but must be based in Iowa.
