A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.**Job Summary:**The Cybersecurity Operations Execution Specialist supports the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Regional Execution Office (REO) by designing, standardizing, and implementing security monitoring controls for applications across the enterprise. This role partners closely with application stakeholders, logging teams, and security engineering teams to understand application risk profiles, determine appropriate cybersecurity controls, and ensure effective monitoring is implemented and operationalized. The role also contributes to centralizing monitoring practices globally, advancing security standards, and improving the overall maturity of MUFG’s cybersecurity posture.**Major Responsibilities:*** Support the Security Operations Center in the design and execution of cybersecurity monitoring controls for applications across the environment, aligned to the organization’s cybersecurity strategy and risk management framework.* Partner with application owners, technology teams, and business stakeholders to understand application architectures and risk profiles, and to determine appropriate security controls and monitoring requirements.* Work closely with cybersecurity operations and security engineering teams to ensure defined monitoring controls are implemented, tested, and operationalized effectively.* Help centralize and standardize security monitoring controls across regions and business lines, contributing to the development and implementation of global standards and patterns.* Support the execution and maturity of cybersecurity operations initiatives, including identification of appropriate metrics and data sources that enable stakeholders to understand risk posture and operational effectiveness.* Collaborate with cybersecurity, risk, and control teams to identify gaps in monitoring or control coverage and drive remediation of open issues.* Build and maintain relationships with entities that receive SOC services, gather feedback, create plans to address their needs, and see those plans to completion.* Leverage industry frameworks, standards, and best practices to inform monitoring control design and continuous improvement efforts.* Stay current on cybersecurity operations trends, control frameworks, new technologies, and organizational changes that may impact security monitoring requirements or reporting.**Qualifications:*** Degree in information technology, cybersecurity, computer science, or related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.* 3–5 years of experience working in cybersecurity risk analysis, cybersecurity operations, security monitoring, or related security roles, preferably within large or regulated environments.* Experience working with cybersecurity control frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and/or Cyber Risk Institute (CRI).* Working knowledge of security monitoring concepts, control design, and operational execution within a SOC or similar environment.* Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate risk and technical concepts into clear requirements and outcomes.* Ability to effectively communicate security concepts and monitoring requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.* Experience working across global and cross-functional teams.* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously.* Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, prioritize effectively, and drive continuous improvement.**Other:*** As per MUFG’s Return to Office policy, a candidate must work onsite for 4 days and 1 day remotely out of Jersey City, NJ.* The typical base pay range for this role is between $104K - $141K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
