Area Business Development Manager – Military & Federal Programs
Location: Pacific Northwest Region (based out of Seattle, WA) Travel Requirement:
50%+ regional travel
Salary Range: $95,000 – $115,000 Annual Base Salary (includes $15,000 Cost of Living Allowance) + $30,000 Annual Bonus Potential + $75 Monthly Cell Phone Allowance

Area Business Development Manager
to support Military and Federal program growth across the Pacific Northwest Region of the United States. This role is ideal for an individual with prior experience in healthcare sales, especially those with experience collaborating with
Veterans Affairs (VA), TRICARE, or other federal healthcare programs .
This position offers autonomy, strategic impact, and the opportunity to expand critical partnerships across the healthcare continuum.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive marketing and business development strategy for assigned geographic areas
Build and execute annual business plans targeting key referral sources and federal programs
Collaborate with local, regional, national, and strategic sales teams to strengthen Maxim’s market position
Partner with Clinical and Operational leadership to understand services and respond to customer needs
Engage frequently in person with customers to educate on services, features, and value
Build and maintain at least 20 targeted pursuit plan accounts annually
Establish new account relationships while deepening existing ones
Analyze customer needs and prepare customized proposals that differentiate Maxim’s offerings
Align business development efforts with the Director of Business Operations’ strategy and goals
Meet budgeted financial targets and ensure achievement of company KPIs
Maintain accurate CRM activity logs and reporting
Promote collaboration between sales and recruiting teams to support workforce needs
Stay up to date on relevant federal and state regulations affecting business operations
Actively communicate business opportunities with regional and national teams
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Management, Communications, Public Relations, or Healthcare Administration
Minimum of two years of business development experience in healthcare or related fields
Prior experience with VA, TRICARE, or federal healthcare programs highly preferred
Strong customer service mindset and professional presentation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Experience in public speaking required
Ability to work independently, creatively, and with strong self‑motivation
Willingness to travel daily within the region; overnight travel may be required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Proficiency in English
