C & B Operations, LLC is a progressive company that has grown over 35 years to include thirty‑six John Deere dealerships in six states. We are growing our team, creating an opening for a Used Appraisal Specialist at our Sioux Falls, SD headquarters.

The Used Appraisal Specialist assists in setting fair market values, managing inventory, and supporting sales and finance decisions. This position utilizes agricultural equipment knowledge and John Deere Dealership experience, strong analytical skills, and great communication to maximize inventory value.

Utilize multiple data sources and industry reports to determine fair market values for incoming trades of agricultural and turf equipment.

Manage inventory risk and profitability by reviewing price position and marketability of existing inventory.

Assist Used Equipment Manager to monitor industry and company inventory levels.

Collaborate with sales and service support teams to determine equipment repair needs best suited for resale.

Support sales and finance teams to assess price positions of equipment entering and exiting the company’s finance portfolio.

Strong customer service and communication skills

Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record

Prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer, attending meetings, or traveling between locations.

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (e.g., parts, equipment documentation, laptops).

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full‑time benefits eligible position. Flexible hours of work between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Travel Occasional travel to other company locations may be required.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Ag Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred

Familiarity with agricultural equipment and seasonal service cycles required

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

3–5 years of experience in sales, finance, or support in an ag dealership or related equipment industry (e.g., construction, heavy equipment, automotive) required

Experience supporting sales teams preferred
