Job Responsibilities

Teller duties, including:

Accurately handling the money assigned to their care for the purpose of conducting customer transactions. Correct counting, distributing and securing of funds both disbursed to and deposited for customers in an accurate, courteous and timely manner. Processing a variety of account transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, cash exchanges, cashier check issuances and cash advances. Accepting wire transfer orders. Receiving, inspecting and verifying cash and negotiable instruments for processing. Investigating account holds & assist in determining whether holds are necessary for negotiable items. Obtaining necessary authorizations for transactions. Reconciliation of windows and vaults. Acceptance of stop payment orders and other maintenance requests. Answering phones. Processing incoming mail and preparing outgoing mail with postage. Assisting with ITM administration – cash supply, balancing & processing deposits. Assisting in other customer service areas as cross-trained. Any other tasks or Teller assignments as directed by supervisors or senior officers.

New Deposit Accounts Operations, including:

Providing accurate and timely services to customers requesting new checking, savings, CDs and IRAs. Incoming and outgoing wire transfer processing. Assist with Online Banking, Debit Card, Mobile Banking, Mobile Check Deposit and other customer service-related inquiries. Process daily decisions on insufficient funds items. Approve and process internet banking applications and customer service requests as needed. Approve and process mobile check deposit transactions as needed. Issue, troubleshoot and maintenance debit cards. Process deposit verifications and account inquiries as needed. Assist with Deposit and Loan account maintenance. Assist with the scanning and indexing of deposit documentation.

Lending Services, including:

Assisting customers who request loans, to the extent of your approval levels. If a loan request is beyond your level, please prepare a request that can be submitted to the loan committee or a lender who has the appropriate authority needed.

Assist with community outreach – call programs, advertising and marketing.
